of Nanoscience and Nanoengineering- dated Sept.
“A Promise for the Future By some accounts, nanotechnology is destined to replace much of today's technology. Gateway University Research Park expects to be at the forefront of these new technologies with the creation of a new institution, The Joint School for Nanoscience and Nanoengineering (JSNN).
Joint School of Nanoscience and
Nanoengineering Short Description of
The facility will be a complex laboratory building which will include an auditorium, classrooms, laboratories, clean rooms, high purity water systems; complex energy, HVAC, and support systems to facilitate the research and study of Nanoscience and Nanoengineering.
Project Overview: The JSNN will support established research programs with faculty from the two universities and will have its own faculty lines as well. The primary goal of the school is to be a world leader in research, nano-related education, and outreach. The JSNN will promote Research goals, Education goals, and Outreach goals. To meet these goals, the JSNN will require specialized, state-of-the-art industrial quality research space. These will include laboratories for life sciences, engineering, materials science and other spaces requiring tightly controlled environments.
